Exterior Painting

Exterior paint is your house's raincoat. Ours goes on over real prep - because paint on chalk and peel is a two-year rental, not a finish.

The exterior process

  1. Wash. Pressure wash to clean substrate - paint bonds to surface, not grime.
  2. Scrape and sand. Failing paint comes off; edges feathered smooth.
  3. Repair. Rot flagged honestly, caulk renewed at every gap and joint.
  4. Prime. Bare wood and repairs primed - the bond layer that decides longevity.
  5. Paint. Two coats of premium exterior, applied in weather the spec allows.
  6. Walkthrough. Inspect together; touch-ups happen before we leave.

Why our exteriors last

The difference between a seven-year paint job and a fifteen-year one is invisible on day one - it's the wash, the feathered scraping, the primer on bare wood, and refusing to paint at the wrong temperature or over morning dew. We do slow prep and fast painting; the industry norm is the reverse, and their repaint schedule shows it.

You get premium products with real warranties, colors tested on the actual siding, and a crew that treats landscaping like it's paid to survive.

Common questions

When's exterior painting season?

Roughly late spring through fall here, temperature-dependent. Book early - good painters' summers fill by spring.

How long will it last?

With our prep and premium product, expect 10-15 years on siding - trim weathers first and touch-up cycles extend everything.

What about lead paint on older homes?

Pre-1978 homes get EPA-mindful practices - containment and safe methods. We'll explain exactly how we handle it.

Protect the biggest thing you own.
